FESTIVAL PARADE MAKES A COME BACK FOR THE 4OTH CELEBRATION

SUNDAY, OCT. 7 AT NOON ALONG MORTON AVENUE Celebrating Farming and 40 Years of Festivals

Parade Route:  Along Morton Ave. in Rosenhayn from Deerfield Township School to the festival site.

The Festival's 40th celebration will include a parade for the first time in a few years.  Guests of honor will be  representatives of the past Deerfield Farmers of the Year, Farm Heritage Award Winners and the Festival Committee.  High school bands, floats, marchers, antique and custom autos, tractors and other farm equipment, fire and rescue units, armed forces representatives, police units, clowns, business entries, school and community groups are encouraged to enter the parade.

MORE PARADE INFORMATION

The harvest festival parade is back!  It begins at Deerfield Township School and marches down Morton Avenue to Rosenhayn Fire Hall and the festival site. The first entries reach the festival area at 12:15 p.m.  This year, groups from throughout South Jersey will join the fun to help celebrate farming and the 40th celebration of the Festival.  See floats, hear music from various bands, and enjoy cars, trucks and farm equipment of all kinds.


Representatives of the past Farmers of the Year and Farm Heritage Award winners will be honord guests in the parade as will Harvest Festival Committee members who have served for many years.

Entries are welcome.


There will be no judging of units or trophies presented this year.


Entries  are to report to the the parade staging area at Deerfield Township School by 11 AM. 


PARADE SAFETY NOTICE:

For the safety of parade watchers and children, candy may be handed out along the parade route by people walking along the parade route but may not be thrown from vehicles or floats.
