How much does it cost to get into the festival?

Thurs. night is free admission for everyone . Fri. night: $1 admission charge for ages 6 and up.  Sat. & Sun. there is a $2 admission charge for ages 6 years old and up.  5 and under, no admission charge any day.  Asked to have your hand stamped as you leave and you may re-enter the festival on that day. 

Do we pay a fee to see the live music and other entertainment?

No.  On Fri., Sat. and Sun., once you've paid the general admission charge, there is no additional charge for the musical and children's entertainment, except for amusement rides, games and other specialty events. Note that you may become a Friend of the Festival for a contribution and gain access to special Friends of Festival reserved section in front of the main stages.  See Friends of Festival Seats info. in this website

Is this a fund raiser for the Township and how much does it make?

No it is not a fund raising event.  It is a community event designed to bring people, especially families, together to have fun and to honor farming.  Any profit goes into the Deerfield Township Recreation Trust Fund which is used to support future festivals and to help maintain recreation facilities and programs in the township.

What happens if it rains?

As long as weather conditions are not unsafe, the festival goes on rain or shine.  So pack those rain slickers and umbrellas and come out and enjoy the fun.  Due to contracts with entertainers and many other scheduling complications, the festival must be held as scheduled. 

Where is the festival?

It is in the community of Rosenhayn in the Township of Deerfield in Cumberland County, New Jersey.  The festival is held on the grounds of Rosenhayn Fire and Rescue and Frank LoBiondo, Sr. Park on Morton Avenue.

It is an outdoor event with entertainment on a covered stage and on the basketball court in the park.  Amusement rides, food booths, arts and crafts -- all the events except the parade, take place on this 8 acre site.  See more on directions.

Who runs the festival and why is it held?

The Deerfield Township Recreation Committee, which is part of the government of the Township of Deerfield, created the festival to develop a positive public image for this small farming community, to bring all parts of this diverse community together in a positive event, to honor the importance of farming, and to have fun in a celebration near the end of the farming season.

It is produced and managed by the Recreation Committee with volunteers from the community and many community groups from throughout the region. 

Is there seating at the Festival?

Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets to place near the stages.  There is some bleacher seating available and there are picnic tables nearby. Note there is a special reserved section with folding chairs for Friends of the Festival.  See info on this site about Friends of the Festival Seats.

Where can I park?

The Recreation Committee provides a large official parking lot near the festival. Official Parking fee is $5. Your fee benefits the festival and several community groups. It is a short walk and the lot is lighted and convenient.  Avoid parking in restricted areas as NJ State Police will be enforcing parking regulations to ensure safety and security and traffic flow near the festival area.  For map and more information.

How much are the amusement rides?

Individual ride tickets may be  purchased and ride prices are posted at each ride.  Special "all you can ride" times provide special value for families and others.  For just $25 per person, unlimited rides are offered on THURSDAY, from 5 to 9 PM, FRIDAY,  from 5 to 10 PM and SATURDAY,  1-5 PM only and SUNDAY, 1-5 PM only. A $45 super pass is available. It will allow unlimited access to the rides during all hours of all four days of the festival. The Super Pass can be purchased on Thursday only for $40 a savings of $5. Other days it will cost $45  Normal ride per ride prices are in effect at all other times during the festival. Credit cards accepted for ride purchases.


Are foods and beverages available at the festival?

Yes. What harvest festival would be complete without a big food court with all kinds of homemade foods and traditional festival favorites?   The festival committee and many professional food vendors and community groups sell foods and drinks at "reasonable" prices. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are sold or permitted at the festival.  In order to maintain a "family" atmosphere and to promote public safety, the festival committee asks all visitors to comply with this no alcohol policy.  SEE FOODS PAGE FOR MORE INFO.

What time are the entertainers on stage and performing throughout the festival site?

When and where are the fireworks?

Fireworks light up the sky over the festival site on SUNDAY night, 9:30 p.m.

Is there parking available for handicapped people?

Yes, we have spaces reserved for vehicles with handicapped passengers / drivers. They are in the Official Festival Parking lot.  SEE PARKING INFORMATION.

How can I enter the arts and crafts show and how much is the entry fee?

Crafters and businesses pay a fee to display an sell their items.  Non-profit community organizations may also provide information at no cost but advance registration is required for all festival vendors and exhibitors.   SEE DISPLAYS INFORMATION.   

Are pets permitted at the Festival?

For safety, only service animals are permitted inside the festival grounds.
