Tyler Rich signed a record deal with Valory Music Company and a publishing agreement with Big Machine Music. His lead single “The Difference” is climbing the charts.
Already lauded as a coveted SiriusXM Highway Find, “The Difference” landed Tyler as a CMT Listen Up arst for 2018.
Raised in Yuba City, a small farming community in Northern California, Tyler Rich found his love of music gathered around a Christmas tree alongside family singing holiday classics and family favorites. His mom was big into Country and his first concert was George Strait when he was eight, while his dad would listen to Tom Petty, Creedence and Pat Benatar. His uncle and his friends would get their guitars and play cover songs, at these holiday parties. He told his grandma that he needed to be a part of this. So, for Christmas, when he was 14, his grandma bought him a guitar and his uncle and a friend taught him to play a couple of songs, so he could join in the annual jams.
Fast forward to graduating college with a degree in Economics, Tyler moved to LA to pursue a different game of numbers – music – exploring various genres with songwring and bands before taking the leap as a solo artist. Sometimes you hear a song and you just know it’s special and you can’t get that song out of your head. For up and coming country star Tyler Rich that song is “The Difference.”
A prolific songwriter who estimates he’s written a hundred songs in the last year, Tyler explains it was love at first listen when he heard the Rhett Atkins - penned “The Difference” during a pitch meeting. He was instantly hooked, he felt this song sounded like one he would write. His immediate belief in the song has been rewarded. “The Difference” is his long-awaited introducon to Country radio – a moment he’s been working
towards since first playing various genres with his band in high school. One of his biggest fans is country star, Dustin Lynch, who saw him singing his hit song “Mind Reader” on Instagram, before inviting Tyler to Nashville for a meetng. That lead Tyler to a management deal and the momentum hasn’t stopped.
Tyler has been introducing his amplified sound and infectious energy coast to coast, performing alongside some of the genre’s top acts including Dustin Lynch, Sam Hunt, Brett Eldredge, Jusn Moore, Cole Swindell and Dan + Shay.
